Customer Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Four years of abuse, ran like a champ I worked in the low-voltage tech field for four years, and was tooled with a Milwaukee combo kit. Amongst the kit was this 18V impact driver, which was a tool I had never reached for prior to that job. Now, I can't imagine life without one! The tool is sturdy and well-built, but not excessively heavy. It's well-balanced and easy to use, provides plenty of power, and the short front-to-back length make it easy to get into tight spots. Aside from driving screws into wood, I actually found this to be much better than my regular drill/driver at putting self-tapping screws through heavy gauge metal door frames. I used this thing to put up over 100 mag locks in my time in the trade, and it ran like a top from the first day to when I had to (sadly) return it to the company when I switched industries. One word of advice, though: if you use the belt clip, put a little thread-lock on the clip screw. All the vibrations and jostling of normal use tend to back it out.
