JET Cold Saws
JET® cold saws are uniquely designed cutting tools that used toothed blades to control the heat produced during cutting, keeping the material you're cutting and the blade itself cool to the touch. This also means these Jet saws produce no sparks, keeping you and your work area safer. They also feature a coolant system that lubricates the blade's teeth so they stay sharp longer.
Like Jet mitering bandsaws and horizontal bandsaws, cold saws are useful for miter cuts and cutoffs. Jet manual cold saws use different types of blades for cutting different metals. The blade type, feed rate and cutting speed must be right for the material you cut. Many of the saws come with specific blades, such as a blade capable of sawing through solid steel. Most Jet cold saws are capable of sawing through ferrous and nonferrous metals while producing no dust, little discoloration and minimal burrs.
Many bench top cold saws let you control the angle of the cut you need in a similar way that Jet vertical bandsaws and horizontal bandsaws do. Angles generally range from zero to 45 degrees. The blades are driven by a high-torque gear reduction unit and a high-power motor. Blade speed varies depending on the specific saw and range from 52 rpm to 108 rpm. Some benchtop cold saws feature two different cutting speeds that let you cut through various materials, such as bars and pipes.
For professional fabrication and machine shop tasks, choose a saw that delivers burr-free, accurate cuts. Jet cold saws do this easily without producing the heat and sparks of a normal bandsaw. This keeps you and work area safer while letting you cut into many different ferrous and nonferrous metals. Choose the benchtop cold saw that fits your needs, or select another saw from our wide selection of Jet horizontal bandsaws and mitering saws.
