Rated 1 out of 5 by from First and last Husky product My wife bought me one three years ago for my birthday from a dealer not a big box store. When it was delivered in 30 degree weather my first question was why doesn't the engine need to be choked. The persons reply and numerous calls to the dealer were the same answer the new EPA requirement the engine doesn't need choking as long as it starts. The first storm was a huge disappointment as the machine is underpowered. I could not go into six inches of snow higher than second gear. Each time I called the dealer they replied the snow was heavy and the engine was underpowered. Midway into the season the impeller belt began to squeal, I was told it was the deep snow getting into the belts. My reply was why did this never happen with my old. MTD purchased from a big box store. There was more than one post about belts shredding. In the off season it went back to the dealer where it did indeed need a new belt. Adjustments were made to scraper blade and runners, which should have been performed before it was delivered to me. After this season it will be sent to another dealer who felt they may be able to help.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Blower, Happy Bought it Dec. 2014. Lots of snow that winter. Kept on truckin' through fluff and heavy wet stuff. Last year not too much snow, this year used 4 times so far. Ran over my barbecue tongs which haven't seemed to compromise it. The traction is not so great on steep slippery areas but I move it from side to side if it slips a bit and it bites. I think there are chains available. The chute could go another 10* either way but use your common sense to compensate. Blow house side first and any snow that doesn't make the bank will be picked up as you finish "away" side. I feel fortunate I have not had any belt issues. I am a 61 year old woman and find this machine a helpful tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this machine. The first snowblower I ever owned. We got about 10" of semi wet snow for the first use. I was impressed at the ability of this machine to work through the snow. It took time for me to learn how to use it correctly, but after a few initial runs I had it figured out. If used properly and not trying to muscle it, I was very happy with the results. Like some reviews, I agree it would be good to have more discharge chute rotation. If it continues to operate the same way in the long haul, I will feel like it was a good investment. I couldn't rate reliability higher because it is still new. Based on what I know today I would buy again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flawed Chute Directional Why would Husqvarna design a chute directional that only rotates 180 degrees!!! If there is a fix please provide it to your customers. Otherwise the machine is phenomenal, but I cannot recommend this machine until a fix has been provided for the chute directional.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great looking, decent performer, but 3 flaws exist.... I was really hoping that this would be better than my old 10 HP MTD. It Great looking, Led lights, great control panel, heated grips etc. But three flaws came to light the first time I used it...#1 the chute deflector for height Froze solid in 10 minutes...yup back in the heated garage it was fine and the next day- frozen again. Kinda renders it semi- useless when you are stuck at whatever height it was set for. #2 the chute only rotates 180 degrees...you cannot toss snow slightly backwards. Not helpful as you round the end of a snow bank. #3 the heated grips only keep the handle warm at best. Debating on returning it in the 30 day window.... Issue #1 is a real pain and I would rather have it manual over stuck frozen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use Gave my nephew our 30 year old snow blower that was a beast to operate but performed well. This 227 is a great improvement on what we had. Easy to turn in tight quarters and easy to adjust the shoot with one hand. Just did my neighbor's driveway, shot 10" of light snow 40 ft. Only wish it had two reverse speeds. Appears there are minor adjustments that may be needed as the machine is used. Wish the manual and FAQ section were clearer as to making those adjustments.
