Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this machine. The first snowblower I ever owned. We got about 10" of semi wet snow for the first use. I was impressed at the ability of this machine to work through the snow. It took time for me to learn how to use it correctly, but after a few initial runs I had it figured out. If used properly and not trying to muscle it, I was very happy with the results. Like some reviews, I agree it would be good to have more discharge chute rotation. If it continues to operate the same way in the long haul, I will feel like it was a good investment. I couldn't rate reliability higher because it is still new. Based on what I know today I would buy again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flawed Chute Directional Why would Husqvarna design a chute directional that only rotates 180 degrees!!! If there is a fix please provide it to your customers. Otherwise the machine is phenomenal, but I cannot recommend this machine until a fix has been provided for the chute directional.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great looking, decent performer, but 3 flaws exist.... I was really hoping that this would be better than my old 10 HP MTD. It Great looking, Led lights, great control panel, heated grips etc. But three flaws came to light the first time I used it...#1 the chute deflector for height Froze solid in 10 minutes...yup back in the heated garage it was fine and the next day- frozen again. Kinda renders it semi- useless when you are stuck at whatever height it was set for. #2 the chute only rotates 180 degrees...you cannot toss snow slightly backwards. Not helpful as you round the end of a snow bank. #3 the heated grips only keep the handle warm at best. Debating on returning it in the 30 day window.... Issue #1 is a real pain and I would rather have it manual over stuck frozen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use Gave my nephew our 30 year old snow blower that was a beast to operate but performed well. This 227 is a great improvement on what we had. Easy to turn in tight quarters and easy to adjust the shoot with one hand. Just did my neighbor's driveway, shot 10" of light snow 40 ft. Only wish it had two reverse speeds. Appears there are minor adjustments that may be needed as the machine is used. Wish the manual and FAQ section were clearer as to making those adjustments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Design flaw?? I'm a 5'2" woman and appreciate the adjustable handles. Used once in deep light snow. Cleared deep snow easily. Threw snow exceptionally far when needed. Bogged only once when clearing side of the street against snowplowed embankment. Liked the panel controls for the chute. Don't know if the heated handles worked; they didn't feel warm. Machine seems solid and had no trouble in snow deeper than the auger housing. Would like to try this in heavy wet snow but already found major issue with this machine. An annoying problem is the limit of rotation in the chute. 180 degrees is not enough! It made my work much, much more difficult in negotiating where to send the snow. Clearing the end of the driveway required throwing snow into the street (against the law here and my neighbors DO complain, so yesterday I also had to clear the street when I was done). The top of my driveway has a set back garage, so I either threw snow into the side of my house (no thanks, with that power it would rip off my siding), or clear with small inefficient patterns in one direction to tackle that end in a forward motion so I can throw snow in front of me. My old snowblower had a 270 degree rotation which makes putting the snow where you want it very easy. Why would Husq. not give the same flexibility to its customers? If there is a fix, workaround, or something additional to buy to achieve this I would be willing to pay extra because the rest of this machine is great, so Husq. if you're listening, please respond! However this limitation is such a problem for me that I am considering a return because it is THAT inconvenient to me.
