The ProSensor 710 is a professional-grade stud detector that is more accurate, faster and less error prone than other products on the market.  The ProSensor 710 senses the wall in thirteen locations simultaneously, and then illuminates the display elements that are in front of the stud.  The readings are immediately accurate.  This is the only stud detector available that does not need to be slid across the wall to operate while the Deep Scanning (up to 1-1/2In) is always active.

Additional Features

  • Advanced Precision-Sense technology senses the wall in multiple locations simultaneously to accurately determine the position of studs.
  • Operates effectively even through difficult architectural construction features (such as wall and ceiling textures, uneven plaster thickness, uneven paint, difficult wallpaper, and thick walls) that can cause other detectors to fail.
  • Detects wood, metal, and other hidden objects.
  • Can identify the position of multiple objects simultaneously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Stud Finder! After receiving my Franklin stud finder through a product evaluation program, I immediately tested it on known studs in a bathroom I've been renovating. It was able to pick up all the studs I looked for on the first try with no finagling. It even picked up the wood brace behind a drywall patch a couple of inches from a stud (both registered simultaneously) as well as a stud behind 1/2" Hardie board with vapor membrane (stud was shown as larger than actual, but center was accurate...I did not expect it to register behind such a dense concrete board). This stud finder is very easy to use...I would even recommend it to my sister, mother, and grandmother. I love that it is constantly scanning/calibrating, so I can push the button before I get to the wall without throwing off the calibration. I can also lift off the wall and move without it shutting off. With my old stud finder, I would have to turn it on (and auto calibrate) between studs and sweep it over where I thought a stud should be. This was often an unreliable process that would yield a slightly different stud center on each successive pass. It would also error out if I lifted it from the wall. This is by far the best stud finder I've ever used...I no longer have to knock on the wall to determine a good place to calibrate the stud finder. For the first "real" test, I used this to detect studs behind walls to nail in baseboard. This was perfect for the task! I was able to sweep the detector quickly over the wall with one hand (holding in place to temporarily "mark" the stud via the red lights) while using my finish air nailer with the other hand to secure the baseboard to the wall. I will be hanging towel bars tonight, and I expect similar results. This is an awesome stud finder, but that doesn't mean it can't be better (my engineer's mentality)! Here are some suggestions I have for this stud finder: 1) allow this stud finder to detect electric behind a wall...I will still have to keep my old stud finder around for that (maybe you could add a second row of lights for electric or change the existing LED color in location of electric); 2) this multi-sensor system seems to get tripped up by metal behind a wall (ie: will not detect stud when drywall corner guard is in range...I tricked it by turning it on a diagonal, which worked); 3) stud finder could not detect floor joists from above to secure squeaking floors (I tried to scan through medium pill carpet/pad/sheeting)...maybe a "deep" scan mode could be added; 4) add feedback that this unit is in deed on...there is no feedback if there is no stud in initial reaction is to push the button harder thinking I hadn't completed the full button stroke. Bottom line: I think you have one of the best consumer stud finders on the market which I would recommend to anybody, but I think if you consider some of these suggestions you will have the absolute king of stud finders that no competition will be able to touch for performance and multi-tasking!
