Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Waste of Money! I purchased 3 of these and they are the worst tool ever. The sanding band starts to move up and down in a matter of minutes and then slips right off the mandrel. I have to stop every few minutes to try to put the sanding band back on. If I do not pull exactly right, the soft outer part separates from the harder section underneath and I have to spend more time trying to put it back together. The worst part is that can't find the original non-EZ mandrel which works great in any stores so I have to look online for it and that means that my project will be delayed while I wait for it to arrive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Product Bought the tool like everyone else. The Dremel name and previous quality. Also like everyone else the mandrel wouldn't hold a drum after 1 minute. The EZ lock wheels are even worse. Total waste of money. The old design was tedious but at least it worked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart I use sanding bands daily. This mandrel comes apart - sliding off and it is impossible to put back together. Been through 3. Also there is slippage of the bands. Very sad

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Despite nice mechanics, sanding band will not stay I have three of these - one that came with my Dremel, one that came with a sanding kit, and one that came with a general accessory kit. They all exhibit the same problem: although the drum initially works well for attaching the band, the band slips off the drum after about 30 seconds of sanding. Subsequently, it won't stay on. Hugely frustrating and basically worthless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ez drum not good sanding drum pulls off easily after locking. not impressed. I have the old style with a tightening screw and it works much better at securing the drum.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from EZ Drum This came with my recently purchased 4200 kit. Unfortunately, even with very light pressure I find that the sanding drum slips like other reviewers mentioned. I know Dremel is known for quality which is why I bought one, but I'd like to be able to drum sand without the fear of it flying off the mandrel. Does the 407 mandrel fit the 4200? I wouldn't mind the extra few seconds of setup if I was confident it was secured.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from EZ-Drum I bought this product and it did terrible. Figured I had a bad one so I went and bought another. Only way to keep it on was extra pressure. Guess what my 1 year old dremel 4200 stopped working. Not very happy and project not done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EZ407SA Mandrel This came with my 4200 rotary tool. I tried it recently on some oak strips that had some burn marks from my saw. I didn't have any issues with the drum sliding or slipping as others noted. I did keep the speed in the medium range though and used very little pressure. I suspect the slipping problem is the result of too much pressure when sanding.
