Customer Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile - Allows for creative freedom I build and modify cigar box hobby guitars. I needed the ability to cut straight holes and because I currently own a Dremel 4200 rotary tool, I felt that the drill press attachment would suffice for my needs. Even though the plunge depth and hole radius are limited, this little guy has been fantastic! One feature I absolutely love, is the ability to put the rotary tool at an angle. This was not a feature that I thought I would ever need, but has now become invaluable. So here was my dilemma, and how I used this tool to solve it. Part of creating these guitars requires shaving down pieces of wood for necks so that I could have part of it above the body to act as the fingerboard for the guitar/diddley bow (I know this is a lot of mumbo jumbo, but other guitar builders might understand this). Now since I don't have a lot of extra money, I try to make use of the tools I currently own rather than buy new ones. I have a 543 Cutting/Shaping Wheel and I have been using this attachment regularly for this task, but what I lacked was precision when using it by hand. What I discovered is that I was able to angle the rotary tool with this bit in place, then set the tool at my desired depth and now I have a makeshift planer! Once complete I replace the shaping wheel with a sand paper bit and then smooth out the product! The only negative I have with the product is the lack of ease to use the easy change feature of the 4200. This could be user error, but I am unable to change out the bits while the tool is in the drill press. And since that is one of my favorite features of the tool, it is a bit of a drag to have to pull the entire tool out to change out the attachment and ten re-install. Additionally, like most modern dremel tools, most of the pieces are plastic, so the accuracy and tightness isn't as great as a metal (more expensive) equivalent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drill press Mod. 220 This is a great little drill press and it comes in very hand in my model ship building. I have had a Dreme Rotter y Tool for a lot of years now and it would be hard to work with ought it. A number of years my son gave me Powerbuilt Tool kit. It will also fit in my new 220 Drill press. My only problem is I bought a Dremel various drill chuck and it seams that I do need an adapter for it. It is kind of a pain moving my Dremel back and forth, can you supply me with one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Product. I use the workstation for so many projects. The majority of which I didn't realize I could do when I bought it. Love the drill press and use it frequently. Also love that I can turn it in so many different directions. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from drilling small holes I bought the drill press 220-01 to drill small holes ( #60 to #80 bits) in aluminum bar (1/4" x 1/2"). I made a fixture to hold the bar on the table of the drill press. The variable speed works great. It's very easy to work with small parts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Compatible w/ 4200 I purchased this product for my 4200 Rotary. It was what I needed for projects. But the 4200 model has the easy changeable bit levers instead of using a wrench. When the Dremel is mounted on the Work Station you can't access the tool to release the bits and accessories. The compatibility guide is misleading and says its compatible. Each time you want a different bit, you have to remove the Dremel and replace your bit. All other Dremel models would work great.
