This DEWALT® 12V - 20V MAX* Worksite Charger Radio can double as a power device and storage box with its clever design. Health and safety compliant, the two available AC power outlets allow worksite power from a cordless device, leaving fewer trailing cables. With a useful USB port, your handheld device charges while you work, as long as the DEWALT charger radio has mains power at the time. An auxiliary port is also available for connecting music devices such as MP3 players so they can play through the speakers. In order to protect your device from debris on the worksite, the recessed area in which the ports are located has a closable door. This DEWALT charger radio provides optimum sound quality with a class D woofer, tweeter and amplifier. The 2 AMP charger provides fast charging to avoid downtime. Running off reusable and rechargeable power from the 12V and 20V MAX DEWALT batteries, this worksite charger radio is a cordless device on site.

Customer Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Reception and sound. I purchased this radio and charger with some hesitation. It seems very difficult for my other radios to get good reception of my radio station. Not only does the antenna extend the reception admirably it has a great sound with the speaker system on board. I am happy that the radio can charge the batteries, but in instances where I have no power like up on a roof perhaps, it runs off of the battery it would otherwise charge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sounds good I make sure to have this radio around for work and play. It puts out good sound. I like the usb and aux ports with compartment for cords. Its frustrating that it turns off when unplugged even though there is a battery in it. The radio looks tougher than it is. After less then a week the ground on the cord end fell out. not sure how but the plastic around 120V outputs cracked/broke and plug ins were dangling out. The volume doesn't work very well and the knob comes off too easily and mine is missing. I haven't contacted customer service because I don't like sitting on hold for the next available representative. If you own 20V Dewalt tools and like your music to sound good I would recommend this radio but would not be surprised if you have some issues with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product will get lots of use! Since I have had this radio I have taken to the pool, camping, work, sporting events...just about every where! The battery has a very long life, it goes all day. The only con I have is the usb charger, it does not charge unless its plugged into the wall. It would be nice to use as a portable phone charger when I am out camping. And for the price I would have liked to see it have bluetooth aswell. But I guess they have to leave us something for the next one. All in all it is the best cordless radio on the market. Also the safety jerk cant say nothing because its a charger!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice radio that needs some refinement. This radio took FOREVER to come to market, which leaves me a little stumped as to why it is lacking some features. DeWalt just came out with a new vacuum that runs off of both the old plug-in style batteries and the new clip-on style batteries, so why don't they incorporate that into this radio? Another frustrating thing is that the radio will turn of when you unplug it even though there is a battery in it. I prefer the older radios that would continue to play and not have to be turned back on every time a cord gets unplugged, which let's face it, on the job-site, that happens all the time. It is also irritating that the light for the display does not stay on, it times out after only a few seconds. So while it is nice to have a clock on the display, you can not read it since the display is black, so you have to go over to the radio and hit a button to make the display light up, then wait for it to return to the clock and then you can see the time, but unfortunately that is a waste of time. I also feel that the "fingers" that the cord wraps around could be a bit bigger as I have had the cord slide off of them several times. As far as the good, it is a DeWalt and it is very durable and well made, although just the other day I had a problem where none of the buttons or volume would work, it would only turn on and off. Eventually it started working again, but I hope that problem does not resurface. My radio was missing the 3.5mm accessory cable that is supposed to be included, but after talking with DeWalt they sent one out right away. I love the USB charger built into the awesome cubby on the side of the radio! No more worrying about your device dying while listening to music. I am very happy that DeWalt added an EQ instead of just a "Bass Boost" as on the DC012. The bass boost made the DC012 sound muffled and poor, whereas you can fine-tune the sound to your liking with the EQ on the DCR015. Sound is good and I like the big charge status light on top of the radio, very easy to see. All-inall, a good radio that sounds nice, is durable, and charges batteries. It could definitely use some more thought-out features, but I suppose they have to leave something on the table for the next model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well. Great Radio Reception. Nice Sound Quality. Works Well. I like having preset radio stations set in it. The small battery inside powers its memory to keep the preset stations and clock time when the radio is unpluged from the cord or 12/20v battery. The screen lights up bright when you change the stations, volume, ect.. The battery charging status light is bright, right on top of the radio. Great Radio Reception. My co-worker has 2 different brand radios, both of them have problems with reception. I have not had the need to even move the antenna from its stored posistion. Nice Sound Quality.
