Customer Reviews
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tool prone to rust, best for indoor use only Used this tool to build a 2-story house. Did okay for awhile but keeping batteries charged was a challenge when working a full day. Not having a cord or fuel was nice. Nail storage magazine is too short and repeatedly jams if fully loaded. Always a problem when reloading - can't put two clips of 12d nails in even though they 'fit'. Did drive larger nails fine but jammed often with smaller ones, leading to slide hammer tip damage. Fire rate is good in-between jams. Main bearings failed before job was finished. Looked inside and found rust on flywheel. Never left tool outside, always stored in case in truck. Total time for warranty repair is a month and counting. Very bad for project schedule. Dewalt didn't seem to care much on this. The tool relies on friction between the flywheel & slide hammer to function. It's important to never put lubrication inside the tool. However not having lube means steel parts are prone to rust even if tool is taken care of. Hard to imagine how to avoid this working in typical construction. Might be best for indoor construction only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from this is a step in the right direction The nail gun is a pleasure to use. It's much quieter than standard nail guns so while working in a house, while people are living there, the noise is less intrusive. Speed 1 for flooring nails and #2 speed for general framing, sinks heads perfectly. Waiting to see a finish nailer.
