Rated 1 out of 5 by from I bought my first delta contractor saw 25 years ago and used it daily for 10 years. Got this saw less than a year ago and am fighting Delta's customer service to get the motor replaced. probably only put 10 hours on it and started getting overheating issues. Also the arbor is nowhere straight so it won't make a clean cut. It took several hours to get the blade squared with the table. The dust collection is a joke. Very disappointed in a name that used to mean something.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS SAW. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS SAW. It has two major design flaws, and a terrible motor. The throat plate is only 1/8" thick, and the supports for it are 10" apart. It flexes significantly with very little force, so if you are using a push stick on a narrow piece of wood the flex can easily tip that piece at an angle directly into the blade. Since it's only 1/8" thick you can't make your own zero clearance plates; you'll have to pay $48 for one. Need to use your dado blade? Another $40. The legs of the saw get in the way of the sawdust exhaust when it's tipped to 45 degrees. So instead of moving the legs Delta put 2 sharp 45 degree bends in the exhaust pipe. This by itself would cause clogs, but there is a pointless piece of metal that divides the pipe, so clogs are guaranteed. The easiest way to clear out these clogs involves turning the entire saw completely upside down. I have had mine for less than a year, and the motor is so weak that it can't a 1-1/2" board with a brand new blade. Add to this other small design issues and you end up with a total hunk of junk. Don't buy one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great saw, terrible RH extension table 4 stars because of RH extension. Pro- quality of saw itself. Cons- RH extension not worth the extra $. Fell apart before even got to use the saw. Yes I do recommend the saw but absolutely not the RH extension. The saw is very nice to work with and everything I was looking for in a saw with the exception of the RH extension. The RH extension is JUNK. First, the design of the RH extension table is flawed. The very light weight extension legs are bolted/screwed to the end of the extension, not the side, where the fence is mounted. The problem is that the extension top is made of particle board and with the legs in place separates from the side where the fence is mounted leaving a gap when the screw tares out of the particle board. Next, the adjustable feet that screw into the extension legs are not long enough to reach the floor. I had to put a piece of 2x4 under the extension legs in order to stabilize the extension. And yes the legs on the saw itself are up as far as possible. Since I bought the saw I have seen other reviews with the same complaints about the extension. Bottom line, the table that comes with the 5052 is junk. Don’t waste your money on the RH extension table. Buy the table saw without and build your own extension table. If I did it over again I would have bought the DELTA 10 in. Left Tilt Contractor Saw with 30 in. RH Rip with Cast Iron Wings for the same price and built my own extension.
