The Baldor 1 hp single-phase motor puts out up to 1725 rpm under load, operating at either 115V or 208-230V. The Baldor 1 hp motor is totally enclosed and fan-cooled, to protect it from environmental elements. The motor's steel-frame housing provides other protections against dirt and moisture. Low-friction ball bearings in the Baldor AC motor are permanently double-sealed and lubricated with high-temperature grease, and a V-ring slinger and lip seal keep the inner shaft clean. Condensation-drain weep holes and gasketed conduit box provide moisture resistance for coils and terminals. The Baldor augur-drive motor has a coating of tan epoxy paint to protect the housing from rust.
